In the early morning hours of November 9th, 2016, I sobbed myself back to sleep, after confirming my worst fears about the outcome of the presidential election. I’m sure I was not the only one. The catastrophe we now see unfolding before us is one reason we all cried.

I applaud the actions of N.Y. Governor Cuomo, N.C. Governor Cooper, and the other governors and local officials who are doing their best to respond to the crisis. As long as President Trump occupies the White House, there is no way to avoid a medical and financial disaster that did not have to be this bad.
